A leading IT services provider is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in Ispra. You will develop systems with a strong focus on C++ and collaborate closely with public sector clients. Candidates should have significant experience in Software Engineering and be familiar with hardware and multi-process systems. This is a full-time role with an emphasis on equality and inclusion.

Overview

Uni Systems is looking for a professional Embedded Software Engineer to join our UniQue Ispra team. In this role, you will work closely with our public sector customers and contribute to developing new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and monitoring project progress to provide excellent service and added value.

Responsibilities

• Develop new systems based on the latest commercial System-on-Module (SoM) designs.
• Design and implement executing nodes, including their communication and interaction within a distributed system.
• Contribute to the development of systems supporting nuclear inspector tasks, such as Containment, Verification, and Surveillance.
• Implement and validate user requirements in collaboration with the project team.
• Perform testing, documentation, and system integration with existing or related platforms.
• Ensure the developed components meet functional, security, and performance standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Master + 5 years of experience or Bachelor + 9 years of experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Software Engineering, with a strong focus on C++ development
• Hands-on experience working with hardware and multi-process software systems
• Knowledge or experience with the following technologies is considered an advantage:
• CMake
• Embedded Linux
• Git
• Qt
• Optical sensors
• Good knowledge of English
