Vertiv is seeking a Controls Development Engineer in Piove di Sacco, Italy, to join our team responsible for embedded PLC software across the lifecycle of complex thermal engineering machinery. You will translate requirements into robust code and collaborate with multiple departments to deliver reliable software releases and documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Computer/Automation Engineering, 2+ years of controls experience, and proficiency in PLC programming (IEC 61131-3) plus

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant project experience with controls and automation equipment.
• Knowledge of PLC programming according to IEC 61131-3 or similar.
• Knowledge of other programming/scripting languages (C/C++, C#, Javascript, Python, HTML).
• Experience and skill in troubleshooting control system issues.

Mansioni

• Develop and implement PLC programs and applications based on requirements.
• Translate high level requirements into software specifications and deliver documentation.
• Perform prototyping, testing, code reviews and field validation of software.
• Maintain software baselines and manage configuration; support related teams.
