Datalogic in Bologna is seeking a Hardware Engineer to contribute to hardware topics under the Hardware Team Leader in the Handheld Scanners Business Unit. You will design analogue and digital circuits for low-power battery-operated devices and evaluate microprocessor architectures, especially for image processing.

The role requires Electronics or CS degree, 3–4 years of embedded HW experience, Italian and fluent English, and collaboration across hardware, optical, and software teams.

Competenze

• 3–4 years of embedded HW design experience.
• Low-voltage power supply design experience.
• Familiar with ARM-based MCUs and image processing interfaces.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Linux basics.

Mansioni

• Design analogue and digital circuits for low-power battery-operated products and verify designs.
• Document design specifications and implementation details for hardware.
• Execute design reviews and uphold hardware design standards and methodologies.
• Collaborate with optical, hardware and software engineers to agree system designs and interfaces.
• Provide support for hardware and manage component obsolescence throughout the lifecycle.
