MERMEC is seeking a Hardware Engineer to own the complete hardware design of digital and analog electronic boards for complex industrial and railway diagnostic applications across all project stages. Responsibilities cover concept to mass production, with integration and after-sales support.

The role requires 5+ years in electronics design, proficiency with Altium and FPGA tools, and good English. Occasional national/international travel is expected. Gross annual salary ranges 35,000€ to 40,000€.

Competenze

Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years in designing electronics schematics, PCB layout or FPGA/MCU programming.
Experience with PCBA design tools (Altium preferred).
Experience with FPGA design suites and VHDL.
Knowledge of high speed, SI and PI issues and EMC.
Good written and spoken English.
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Mansioni

Define technical specifications and hardware requirements for electronic boards.
Design and simulate schematics, select components.
Develop test hardware and procedures to prove correct operation.
Maintain, debug and redesign existing projects.
Manage component libraries.
Interface with customers on hardware issues.
Basic digital design in VHDL and C/C++ firmware for SoC/microcontrollers.
Document design specifications and implementation details.
Collaborate with optical, hardware, firmware, and software engineers on system designs.
Interact with EMS during prototyping and production.
