Banka Intesa Sanpaolo d. d. in Milan is seeking an experienced EM hard‑currency bond trader to join our EM trading desk.

You will trade USD and EUR-denominated sovereign and quasi‑sovereign bonds, manage risk, and provide competitive pricing and liquidity across emerging markets. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in EM hard‑currency trading, deep sovereign credit knowledge, and a quantitative background, with English fluency.

Competenze

5–10 years of EM hard-currency bond trading experience at a leading bank.
Deep knowledge of USD and EUR EM debt across regions (LATAM, CEE, ME, Africa, Asia).
Ability to manage sizeable positions and risk exposures under varying market conditions.
Experience developing new trading opportunities.
Proficient in front-office trading, pricing, risk-management and position-keeping systems.
Strong understanding of sovereign credit analysis, macro fundamentals, debt sustainability and geopolitical risk.
Knowledge of hedging instruments used in EM trading (government bonds, interest-rate, FX and credit derivatives).
Excellent risk-management and decision-making capabilities.
Fluency in English.

Mansioni

Trade and market‑make sovereign and quasi‑sovereign EM hard‑currency bonds denominated in USD and EUR.
Manage market, credit and liquidity risk within the assigned framework and limits.
Provide competitive pricing and liquidity for the EM hard‑currency bond universe.
Actively manage trading positions and portfolio exposures, balancing client flows with opportunities and risk.
Develop and implement relative‑value, directional and hedging strategies across EM credit markets.
Collaborate with sales to deliver market views, pricing and trade ideas to institutional clients.
Identify opportunities to expand client activity and enhance the bank’s product coverage.
Collaborate with other trading desks and hubs to optimise risk allocation and liquidity.
Ensure all trading activities comply with internal policies, risk limits and regulatory requirements.
