Job Description:

Working as a Structural Analysis Engineer at our Cascina Costa site, you will have the pride of seeing your work on our product ranges, grow from a 3D concept through to installation and flight. You will play a part in the continued growth of our capabilities for the future.

As part of the Structures Team, you will be responsible for developing structural design solutions in collaboration with other engineering departments and key stakeholders. Our product range includes conventional helicopters, tilt rotors, and unmanned air systems.

Our analysis team supports both the UK and Italian geographies. Although based in Italy, there is an opportunity to work on our full product range.

What you'll do as a Structural Analysis Engineer:
  • Coordinate, create, and deliver static and dynamic analysis & test activities, including airworthiness compliance documentation, in collaboration with Design, Analysis, Certification & Qualification, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Support the structural team of analysts to reinforce capability and growth, especially at a more junior level.
What we need from you to be a successful Structural Analysis Engineer:
  • Ability to own problems and provide pragmatic solutions within challenging timescales and budgets.
  • Experience in analyzing engineering structures.
  • Knowledge of conventional (hand calculation) and numerical (finite element) techniques for static analysis.
  • Understanding of fatigue and damage tolerance.
  • Knowledge of composite materials and analysis principles.
  • Experience using MSC NASTRAN.
  • Experience with Altair HyperMesh (preferable) or Patran (optional).
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Proven experience in structural integrity analyses involving structural modeling and static analyses.
  • Good knowledge of structural failure criteria, fatigue analysis, and dynamic analysis.
  • Knowledge of CAE tools such as MSC Nastran.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., CATIA).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven team working and inclusiveness capabilities.
  • Clear thinking, diligent approach, and task-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian, both written and oral.
