Leonardo, a leading international group in Aerospace, Defence and Security, seeks a Material Management Specialist for its Helicopters Division at IT - Vergiate. The role focuses on material requirements planning, demand alignment, supplier coordination and proactive expediting to ensure smooth supply chains.

Responsabilidades

• Manage material requirements based on demand inputs, defining quantities, timing and sourcing.
• Execute or support MRP activities with accurate planning data.
• Generate and manage purchase requisitions and convert into Purchase Orders/Transfer Orders.
• Ensure alignment between demand, planning and procurement functions.
• Monitor supply plans, identify delays and shortages, escalate as needed.
• Perform expediting actions and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Provide visibility on material availability, risks and recovery plans.

For our Helicopters Division we are looking for a Material Management Specialist.

KEY ACTIVITIES

• Manage material requirements based on demand inputs, ensuring proper definition of quantities, timing and sourcing strategy;
• Execute or support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities, ensuring consistency and accuracy of planning data;
• Generate and manage purchase requisitions and ensure timely conversion into Purchase Orders / Transfer Orders;
• Ensure proper alignment between demand, planning and procurement functions;
• Manage assigned material supply sources (Supply Chain, Industrial Operations, Local Suppliers);
• Collect, consolidate and monitor supply plans ensuring their consistency with demand priorities;
• Monitor execution of supply plans, identifying delays, shortages and misalignments ;
• Perform expediting actions on supply flows and deliveries, coordinating with responsible stakeholders;
• Act as focal point for material issues and receiving anomalies , ensuring proper escalation and resolution;
• Manage material shortages and critical situations , defining and following up recovery actions;
• Provide timely visibility on material availability, risks and recovery plans ;
• Support prioritization decisions in case of constrained supply scenarios;
• Ensure data consistency and updates across planning and execution systems;
• Monitor inventory levels, backlog and supply performance for assigned materials;
• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and supply processes.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor/Master Degree (Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent) or Technical Degree with 3 years experience in logistics, operations or supply chain.
