Activities and Responsibilities
- Perform Model Based System Engineering activities, including model-based design, architecture definition and requirements analysis/allocation for avionic system concepts and programme needs.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, trade-off material and decision-support artefacts for programme reviews and internal/external stakeholders.
- Support the definition and evolution of system architectures and functional requirements for helicopters and tiltrotors and other avionic system engineering initiatives including civil and defense programs.
- Contribute to EDF Programs activities, including MBSE design tasks, reporting and coordination with partners and stakeholders.
- Support programs and initiatives as concept studies for next generation rotorcrafts with model-based design and report preparation, ensuring consistency with programme objectives and technical constraints.
- Coordinate inputs from internal functions and external partners, monitoring actions, dependencies, risks and reporting needs.
- Support studies, concept maturation and new initiatives such EDF calls preparation activities, including technical content consolidation and early feasibility assessments.
- Work in line with applicable engineering processes, configuration practices, quality expectations, schedule constraints and company standards.
Requirements
- Degree in a technical discipline, preferably Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of system engineering processes and lifecycle, with practical understanding of requirements definition, functional analysis and architecture design.
- Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering / Model Based Design methods and tools.
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, engineering reports and presentation material.
- Strong problem-solving attitude, analytical thinking and proactive approach to stakeholder needs.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Inclination to work in line with standards, rules, objectives, schedules and configuration management practices.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of requirements management and modelling environments used in aerospace product development (IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS, MagicGrid framework and Dassault No Magic Cameo preferred).
- Previous experience in avionic system engineering, MBSE, system architecture or technology innovation roles.
- Familiarity with helicopter avionics, Modular and Open Systems standards, mission systems, civil/military qualification contexts or relevant aerospace standards.
- Experience in partner/supplier technical coordination and reporting.
- Experience in research, concept development, feasibility studies or European Defence Fund / collaborative R&T initiatives.
