Job Description:

Activities and responsibilities:

1. Understanding the clients' needs and expected outcomes.
2. Collaborating with the development team to identify design solutions in line with expectations and project guidelines (plans, standards, technical and schedule constraints, budget).
3. Contributing and coordinating activities necessary to develop and qualify the computer software application in all development phases (requirements definition, architectural and detailed design, coding and integration, validation and verification, design reviews, and qualification/certification audits).
4. Interfacing and managing suppliers for activity offload and computer platform procurement.
5. Coordinating and leading the development team.
6. Monitoring and managing the project in terms of schedule, costs, and resources.

Requirements:

• Degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer, Electronic, Automation, Telecommunication Engineering; Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering).
• Knowledge of Real Time Safety Critical Embedded Software development aspects.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to customer satisfaction.
• Experience in team working and leadership within cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to work in line with standards, rules, and objectives.
• Thorough understanding of the entire software development life-cycle.
• Knowledge of aeronautical standards and guidelines for safety-critical software and systems development (e.g., DO-178, DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STDs).
• Knowledge of civil and military certification/qualification regulations and processes.
• Experience with software design and development methodologies (UML, Model-Based Development, Matlab/Simulink modeling and testing).
• Knowledge of aeronautical standard communication protocols and interfaces (e.g., RS232/422/485, Arinc429, Arinc664/AFDX, Arinc653, Arinc661).
• Proficiency in Ada, C/C++ programming languages.
• Experience with validation and verification methodologies.
