ABOUT US

YOUR TEAM

You will join the multidisciplinary team of developers and designers at the iCub Tech facility, where electronics, mechanical, and software engineers collaborate to conduct research.

The candidate will work on electronics design for a new generation of humanoid robots, collaborating with mechanical and control engineers to achieve shared goals. Willingness to learn the basics of related fields is essential for integration and teamwork.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing electronic boards for sensors, motor control, and battery management.
• Developing firmware for verification and validation.
• Debugging and fixing EMC and EMI issues in complex mechatronic systems.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in electronics design, including analogue, digital/FPGA, power supplies, PCB design, high-speed digital interfaces, EMC/EMI.
• Experience with embedded software development and microcontrollers.
• Experience in co-design approaches for engineering.
• Proficiency with ECAD design tools, e.g., Mentor Graphics or similar.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Creative, proactive, and collaborative attitude.
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Experience with robot middleware systems such as ROS.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering and control systems.
• Experience with MCAD software.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, and robotics fundamentals.
• Experience in embedded software development.
• Experience with simulation tools.
