Bouygues Construction Expertises Nucleaire, in consortium with SPIE SAT, operates facilities for the pre-treatment and characterization of nuclear wastes at the Joint Research Center in Ispra, Italy (Nuclear waste management and decommissioning).
The role of the Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer is to support the Facilities, Maintenance, and Surveillance Manager (FMSM) in organizing planned and unplanned maintenance, and to be assigned specific remediation projects on-site.
The JRC has several complex characterization facilities equipped with automation systems for automatic measurements.
The maintenance engineer will ensure that facilities are available for scheduled measurements and maintenance activities. In case of issues, the engineer, with support from the FMSM, will identify solutions to resolve them.
In cases of obsolescence, the engineer may be required to manage remediation projects, including sourcing subcontractors, managing offers and quotations, overseeing design, and ensuring correct implementation.
