Job Description:

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking for an Electrical System Design Engineer in Firenze for one of our top clients.

Our client is a leading energy technology company which designs, manufactures, and services transformative technologies to help take energy forward.

The Electrical System Design Engineer will assist in designing large electric motors and generators and conducting engineering design reviews with suppliers and customers to ensure compliance with customer specifications and project international standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing technical proposals, reviewing customer specifications, and identifying customer requirements, comments, and deviations during clarification meetings;
• Performing technical selection of electrical items such as MV variable speed drive systems, fixed speed motors, power generators, and BOP equipment like batteries, DC panels, MV switchgear, MCC, LCC;
• Managing technical documentation during engineering development, coordinating with suppliers and customers until finalization;
• Formulating functional purchase specifications and aligning technical proposals with suppliers.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Italian and English communication;
• Experience translating design requirements into RFQ data sheets and finalizing comments and deviations, including quality standards;
• Understanding the operation and working philosophy of electrical machines and BOP;
• Expertise in battery sizing, DCP, and MCC calculations;
• Proven experience in electrical design.
