A leading provider of integrated automation technology in Italy seeks an experienced professional to coordinate on-site installation activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have an accredited apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical discipline and demonstrate strong communication skills. Responsibilities include educating subcontractor teams, monitoring adherence to safety protocols, and leading project processes.

The company is a leading provider of integrated automation technology, software, and supply chain optimisation services. It employs more than 7,000 logistics professionals and has development centres and manufacturing facilities around the world.
1. Provide education to the subcontractor team to develop safety knowledge and hazard perception. Encourage the site team to engage in positive safety conversations and document these through behavioural-based safety observations. Act as a positive role model for site safety, fostering a One Dematic safety culture and ensuring right-first-time installation.
2. Monitor and provide feedback on adherence to RAMS by installers. Offer effective supervision where increased risk is identified. Produce timely, accurate reports using cloud-based site reporting tools (e.g., Gensuite), consistently meeting agreed deadlines and focusing on progress and notable events.
3. Coordinate and lead all on-site installation activities, ensuring safety and quality compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular quality checks and use the QMS cloud-based reporting tool to document incidents. Analyze data to identify trends and communicate issues for resolution.
4. Collaborate with the Site Manager to draft the Site Installation Plan. Report delays or defects that could disrupt the schedule and drive remedial actions. Ensure a successful, defect-free handover to the Commissioning team and provide ongoing support until customer handover.
5. Act as the first point of contact on site for safety and technical inquiries, delegating tasks to relevant work areas or PLCs. Work collaboratively with Engineering and Project Management teams.
6. Lead initiatives to optimise production and improve project processes. Provide guidance to new team members and develop site supervisors into successors.
7. Identify and report energy and resource waste, implementing onsite improvements to minimise waste.
Possess experience in managing subcontractors and effective communication skills.
Hold an accredited apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical discipline, such as NVQ Level 3 or C&G accreditation (UK-specific requirements). Review skills competency documentation.
Knowledge of statutory regulations and standards relevant to the market.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work at height.
Desirable qualifications include : Qualified First Aider, MEWP certification, First Aid Certificate, and Forklift Truck License.
Experience with projects servicing strategic accounts is advantageous.
