As part of their expansion, they are seeking a highly competent Electrical Project Engineer to join their team on a new-build hyperscale data centre project in Milan & other European locations. You’ll play a key role in managing electrical packages from design coordination to installation, testing and commissioning – with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and delivery in a live project environment.
What you’ll be doing :
Supporting the electrical lead and project manager in the full lifecycle of the electrical installation on a data centre / pharma project.
Overseeing and coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered according to spec, schedule, and HSEQ standards.
Managing technical submissions, RFIs, and redline drawings, ensuring alignment with IFC and as-built documentation.

Supporting the project in complying with electrical safety, ATEX zoning (pharma), earthing, bonding, and LOTO procedures.
Ensuring the project adheres to client specification, EN / IEC standards, and local German regulations.
Monitoring progress on electrical installation (containment, cable pulling, termination, testing) and updating trackers accordingly.
Ensuring that safety protocols are enforced – actively contributing to Toolbox Talks, site audits, and HSEQ reporting.
What we’re looking for :
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline. Time-served electricians with strong site engineering experience also considered.
3–7+ years’ experience in electrical engineering roles within mission-critical construction, ideally across data centres, pharmaceutical, or high-tech manufacturing projects.
Strong understanding of electrical installation methods, standards, and testing procedures – including LV distribution systems, generator systems, UPS, lighting, fire alarm, security, and BMS integrations.
Familiarity with MEP coordination, especially in high-density environments such as white space and clean rooms.
Ability to interpret and coordinate schematics, SLDs, cable schedules, and layout drawings.
Hands-on experience with QA / QC processes, including FATs, SATs, and commissioning sequences.
Experience working with contractors or directly with clients on large-scale projects valued €50M+.
A strong understanding of site-based challenges in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
Comfortable working in a rotation model or living away from home, with support for accommodation, flights, and expenses.
German is a plus but not essential.
What you’ll get in return :
A competitive tax-free living allowance, flights, accommodation, and full site support.
Clear career progression within a business known for promoting from within.
The opportunity to work on some of Europe’s most critical infrastructure builds.
Exposure to cutting-edge electrical systems, energy-efficient design, and the latest commissioning methods.
A dynamic, fast-moving site with a professional but approachable team culture.
