Electrical Lab Research and Qualification Engineer
Manager / Team Leader

Team Overview and Job Responsibilities:

Our HQ R&D Lab in Milan is looking for an Electrical Lab Research and Qualifications Engineer who will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the correct planning, preparation, and execution of the electrical qualification tests carried out in the R&D laboratories of Prysmian Group based in Italy, France, and the UK, as well as external labs.
  2. Support the R&D laboratories by ensuring compliance with customer specifications in terms of correct equipment and testing methods.
  3. Continuously interact with the laboratory managers for the preparation of the correct test assembly and test setup to avoid delays and faults due to improper preparation/execution of the test.
  4. Be in charge of performing both development and qualification tests and overseeing test setups preparation.
  5. Support and supervise the installation team responsible for assembling High Voltage and Medium Voltage accessories.
  6. Prepare informative and accurate technical reports, and update and maintain records/databases on performed tests.
  7. Manage customers and inspectors and support system design teams.
  8. Work to tight deadlines and contribute to longer-term R&D projects.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and competencies:

  1. A master's degree in Electric or Electronic Engineering, Energy, or Mechatronics.
  2. Proactivity and accuracy.
  3. Real passion for testing and laboratory activities.
  4. Outstanding teamwork attitude.
  5. Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
  7. Willingness to travel abroad.
