O&M Manager (Renewable Energy : Solar, Wind, Storage)

Location : Italy (North), remote with travelling

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, or storage) who is ready to take the next step and grow into an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager role.

In this position, you will support and oversee the day-to-day operations of utility-scale solar PV plants across Italy, ensuring they run safely, efficiently, and in line with technical and environmental standards. You will work closely with field teams, service providers, and internal stakeholders to maximise plant performance and energy production.

What You’ll Do :

• Daily Operations : Monitor solar plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Maintenance Oversight : Help plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Team Coordination : Support and guide field technicians, promoting safe and efficient work practices.
• Performance Monitoring : Analyse plant data (KPIs), identify underperformance, and help implement solutions.
• Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with asset managers, EPC contractors, and suppliers.
• Reporting : Assist in preparing technical and operational reports.
• HSE & Compliance : Ensure all activities meet health, safety, and environmental standards.

What We’re Looking For :

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
• At least 3 years of experience in renewable energy operations (solar, wind, or energy storage).
• Hands-on understanding of solar PV systems , including inverters, trackers, and SCADA systems .
• Italian and English languages- fluent .
• Basic experience or strong motivation to move into O&M management.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations and technical compliance.

Nice to Have :

• Master’s degree in Renewable Energy or Engineering Management.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and ISO standards.
• Experience working with international IPPs or renewable energy developers.
