The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, thermal, waste, renewable generation, and transmission & distribution networks. Together you we will provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with clients, you'll be helping to deliver the energy transition globally.

Graduate Electrical Engineer to support our team of engineers with designing, analysing, and assessing medium and high-voltage substations for power generation projects, specifically renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in substation engineering and electrical engineering principles. In this role you will support to assess safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs implementation of substations.

This is a permanent role and will offer excellent prospects for career development involving different power generation technologies, mainly renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

1. Primary plant design and layouts for HV substations;
2. Equipment specifications for HV Plant and ancillary equipment;
3. Providing engineering design input to major electrical power projects from feasibility/front end engineering stages to detailed design/site construction monitoring and commissioning;
4. Project management and coordination with clients and our design teams, including civil, structural, environmental, survey/geotechnical, transport, protection and control and CAD/BIM team;
5. Delivering projects in new technologies e.g. energy storage, HVDC systems, smart grid solutions, waste to energy etc;
6. Provide professional services to clients both Nationally and Internationally.
