Greenvolt Power Italy is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design and execution of renewable energy projects. The role involves participating in the design, supervision, and construction of large-scale renewable initiatives, focusing on solar PV, onshore wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Key accountabilities
- Provide engineering advice and technical support for the design and construction of large-scale renewable projects, mainly solar PV, onshore wind, and BESS.
- Review project design drawings and participate in discussions with designers and BOP Contractors.
- Assist in tendering processes (RFQ / RFP) by defining technical requirements and design.
- Support the preparation and management of documentation to ensure timely project construction.
- Coordinate with procurement to prepare technical documentation and scope for bidding processes.
- Plan project steps to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective construction of solar PV, wind, and BESS projects.
- Ensure compliance with building permits and other regulatory requirements during construction.
- Report project status, identify potential risks, and recommend solutions to the Board.
- Manage payment approvals and document processes aligned with project schedules.
- Coordinate internal information flow among Development, Accounting, Legal, Procurement, Tax, HSE & Quality teams.
- Oversee technical, schedule, H&S, and quality issues during construction.
- Interact with stakeholders during grid connection processes.
- Collaborate with EPC during construction to resolve design issues.
Qualifications
- Engineering background, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- 5-6 years of experience in utility-scale PV and wind farm construction.
- Knowledge of components and equipment used in large-scale wind, solar PV, and high-voltage systems.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Office, WindPro, Wasp, PVsyst.
- Willingness to travel across Italy for project needs.
- Understanding of local grid connection regulations.
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Analytical skills and ability to interpret project design drawings.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
