A leading company in renewable energy, Greenvolt Power, seeks an Electrical Engineer to work on large-scale solar PV and wind projects in Italy. In this role, you will be responsible for project design, construction oversight, and maintaining compliance with the necessary regulations. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in renewable energy projects, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to travel across Italy for project needs.

Competenze

  • 5-6 years of experience in renewable energy projects

Greenvolt Power Italy i s seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute directly to the design and execution of our renewable energy projects. This role involves actively participating in the design, supervision, and construction of large-scale renewable energy initiatives, with a primary focus on solar PV, onshore wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key accountabilities

  • Provide professional engineering advice and technical support for the design and construction of the large-scale renewable energy projects, primarily focusing on solar PV, onshore wind and BESS.
  • Good understanding of project design drawings and able to participate in discussions with designers and BOP Contractors.
  • Collaborate in the tendering processes (RFQ / RFP) in technical requirements and design.
  • Good understanding of project design drawings and able to participate in discussions with designers (Pre-Executive design and design) and BOP Contractors.
  • Support the definition, preparation and control the documentation to be able to start timely the construction of the renewable energy projects.
  • Under coordination with procurement department, to prepare technical documentation and scope for bidding procedure for external suppliers.
  • Schedules project steps and works to achieve the most efficient, timely and cost-effective construction of solar PV, onshore wind and BESS projects.
  • Supervision and control that during the construction phase the Building Permit and rest of permits requirements are respected.
  • Reports project status, recommends solutions and informs about potential risks to the Board
  • Management and supervision of payment approval and document preparation processes in accordance with the requirements of the project schedule.
  • Coordinates internal information flow within Development Team, Accounting, Legal, Procurement, Tax, HSE & Quality.
  • Manage and control of technical / Time Schedule / H&S / Quality issues during construction process.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders during the connection to the grid process.
  • Collaborate during construction process and provide solutions to construction design problems appear, in coordination with the EPC company.

Qualifications

  • Engineering background (preferable Electrical Engineer)
  • 5-6 years of experience in Renewable Energy projects mainly from PV and wind farm (Utility scale) construction.
  • Experienced with the components and technical equipment usually installed in large-scale onshore wind, solar PV plants and high voltage lines and substations.
  • Experience in working with Auto cad, MS Project, MS Office, Windpro, Wasp, PVsyst
  • Availability to travel around Italy in all areas where projects are.
  • Knowledge of local regulations for connecting projects to the grid.
  • Negotiation skills and problem solving.
  • Strong interpersonal and communicative abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of project design drawings and able to participate in discussions with designers and BOP / EPC Contractors.
  • Good reporting and teamwork skills.
