FlexLink, a Coesia company, is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer for its Bologna team. You will drive execution of advanced material-handling robotic technologies across Italy and international sites, testing and integrating electrical infrastructure and mechatronic systems that power intelligent material flow.

You will collaborate with central development, translate complex challenges into reliable electrical installation solutions, and travel as needed.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering.

Mansioni

• Assist first-line support with analysis and troubleshooting in support cases.

About the Role:

FlexLink's semiconductor business unit develops and deploys highly complex material handling systems for chip manufacturers. These projects are long in duration and technically demanding, integrating advanced mechanics, electrical systems, controls, and software to meet the rigorous requirements of high-volume semiconductor production environments.

As the business unit grows, so does the scale and complexity of what we take on. Projects span the full lifecycle, from engineering and procurement through installation, commissioning, and formal customer handover, with activities taking place in Italy and at international customer sites.

About the Role

As a Electrical Engineer, you will be part of an engineering team based in Bologna and will be responsible for driving the execution of advanced material-handling robotic technologies in Sicily.

You will be testing, troubleshooting and integrating industrial-grade electrical infrastructure and mechatronic solutions that powers intelligent material flow systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation within a complex, high-tech production environment. In this role, you’ll be responsible for communicating with the central development team, and guide the translation of intricate challenges into efficient, reliable electrical installation solutions.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting first-line support with analysis and troubleshooting in support cases
• Analyse and relate the system behaviour to electrical installation and components performance to conduct in-depth system troubleshooting
• Electrical safety and function testing using both prototypes as well as in the customer installation
• Working with compliance to ensure technical standards related to electrical safety and machinery directives are applied
• Working hands-on with electrical installations and electrical cabinets
• Producing a basis for / maintaining documentation

What You Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, and at least 5 years of relevant professional work experience
• Expertise in industrial automation and automation architectures
• Solid experience in electrical design, industry standards and electrical safety best practices
• Good knowledge of electrical engineering software (preferably Eplan)
• Ability to understand the customer’s production process and values
• Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken
• High availability to travel
• Strong attention to detail and well-structured approach
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience from, or strong drive to, be in the field, working close to customer and taking a central role in system commissioning
• Experience from testing, troubleshooting and making modifications to electrical installations, safety systems and embedded electronics

Our Offer:

Compensation for this role includes a base salary starting from EUR 44,400, in line with experience. The actual offer may exceed this minimum based on the candidate's qualifications and fit for the role.

The compensation package also includes a variable component in the form of an annual bonus, which can reach 8% of base salary at target. A company car is not included.

A range of additional benefits (e.g., insurances, etc.) is also available in accordance with Company policy. The applicable collective agreement is the CCNL Metalmeccanico
