Job summary

The Member Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical panels (SLD, PCC, MCC, PLC IO) and manage system design aspects like cable sizing and trays for industrial machinery.

You will lead drives/inverters sizing, perform electrical calculations, and handle procurement while ensuring compliance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, EN 60204-1, ISO 13849-1. PCB design using Altium, KiCad or OrCAD is also included.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical CAD (EPLAN, Spac or AutoCAD).
• Panel design knowledge: SLD, PCC, MCC, PLC IO.
• Drive sizing: motors, inverters, high-power drives.
• Electrical calculations: protections, cables sizing.
• Familiarity with machinery and electrical standards (Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, EN 60204-1, ISO 13849-1).
• Procurement: draft specs and evaluate supplier offers.

Responsibilities

The candidate will manage the sizing and selection of drives, inverters, and high-power actuators (Siemens, ABB, Rockwell), as well as electrical calculations for protections and cables, ensuring compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, EN 60204-1, and ISO 13849-1. Additionally, they will oversee technical procurement, drafting purchase specifications and evaluating supplier offers comparatively. Finally, they will handle the design of electronic boards (PCB) using electronic CAD tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD), including component sizing, power/DC-DC circuits, and hardware verification (tolerances, reliability, EMC/EMI), with a preferred knowledge of the paper process and PLM Teamcenter.What we expect from youKnowledge of an electrical CAD such as EPLAN, Spac, or AutoCADEngineering design capability for panels:SLD (Single Line Diagram), PCC (distribution panels), MCC (Motor Control Center), PLC/I-O panels.Engineering design capability for systems:cable sizing, tray/conduit sizing, planning of cable routes in harsh environments.Knowledge of Drives (AC/AC) and Multi-axis Inverters (DC/AC): sizing of electric motors, frequency converters, and high-power drives (Siemens, ABB, Rockwell Automation).Electrical calculation skills: sizing of breakers, electrical protections, power cables.Knowledge of reference standards: Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC,Electrical equipment EN 60204-1, Functional Safety ISO 13849-1, Technical Procurement capabilities: drafting detailed technical specifications for quotation of electrical panels (MCC, Power Center, PLC) and power components (Inverters, Transformers).Technical Alignment capabilities: comparative analysis of supplier offers to ensure full compliance with project requirements.Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic design.Preferred knowledge of paper processing.Preferred knowledge of PLM Teamcenter.Design and development of electronic boards (PCB design) using electronic CAD tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD or equivalents).Selection and sizing of analog and digital electronic components according to project requirements.Design of power circuits, DC/DC conversion, energy management and protection.Hardware verification and validation: tolerance analysis, reliability testing, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI).What you can expect from usThe position offers a permanent contract, and the offered gross annual salary (RAL) base will not be less than €27,500.00, in accordance with the provisions of the CCNL Commerce – Tertiary, Distribution, and Services.TMC is committed to presenting a competitive compensation package, and at the end of the selection process, after evaluating the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, may offer a final RAL higher than the level indicated above.In line with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a direct profit-sharing component from project earnings, an individual budget for skill development of €4,000 net annually, and annual welfare credits.
