Job summary

ICEL is strengthening its Engineering team in Brescia, Italy, by bringing in a professional skilled in 2D electrical design who aims to grow within technical project management. The role involves translating specifications into manufacturing drawings and supporting ongoing project engineering through launch, changes, and testing.

You will work with assembly and testing teams and contribute to automating electrical design, including AI-assisted processes, to reduce repetitive tasks and time.

Qualifications

• A technical qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent; an electrical engineering degree is welcome.
• 2-5 years of electrical drawing and design experience in switchboard manufacturing or electromechanical fields.
• Knowledge of LV/MV switchboards and single-line diagrams; SPAC Automazione familiarity is a plus.
• Strong 2D CAD skills, preferably with SPAC Automazione.
• Knowledge of circuit breakers, disconnectors and protection relays (ABB, Thytronic).
• Familiarity with LV/MV switchboard standards.
• Accurate, autonomous and capable of collaboration with engineering and project teams.
• Interest in AI to improve design processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and update single-line diagrams, functional diagrams and panel layouts using AutoCAD 2D and SPAC.
• Analyse specifications, customer requirements and technical documents, translating into manufacturing drawings.
• Support project engineering from project launch through changes, clarifications and updates during delivery.
• Support the selection and coding of circuit breakers, disconnectors, protection relays, CTs/VTs and other components, checking compatibility with the design.
• Work with assembly, wiring and testing teams to resolve technical issues and improve construction solutions.
• Help standardise and automate electrical design, including with AI tools, to reduce repetitive tasks and design time.
