Electrical Design Engineer | Data Centres | Italy, Rome - Hybrid working

Our client is a premier European provider of cloud services, data centre solutions, web hosting, email, and domain registration. With a robust footprint across Europe, they operate an extensive network of data centres – including a flagship, state-of-the-art campus in Rome. Renowned for their focus on innovation, security, and sustainability, they deliver next-generation digital infrastructure to both enterprise clients and public sector organisations.

As a result of growth in the region, the firm is now looking for a talented and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Italy.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems for new data centre campuses, ensuring they meet the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and safety.

?Italy | Hybrid Working | HQ in Rome

?You can be based anywhere in Italy that allows you to travel to Rome and/or client sites when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for data centre projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design specifications are met.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary information for design development.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into designs.

Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in electrical design, preferably in data centres or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design software, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
