A leading engineering firm in Milan is seeking an experienced Electrical AIT Engineer to support the engineering team on electrical and functional integration and testing for space systems. The ideal candidate has a master’s degree in aerospace engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include generating test procedures, executing integration activities, and supporting verification processes. Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU and fluent in English.

Competenze

  • Available for business trips and night shifts.

Overview

We are looking for multiple Electrical AIT Engineers on behalf of and in support to OHB Italy for their location in Milan, Italy. In this position, you will support the engineering team on the implementation of electrical and functional integration and test processes in the frame of AIT Campaigns. You will support the AIT manager in the definition of the electrical integration and test campaigns and you will establish the relevant documents such as plans and procedures.

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).

Responsibilities
  • Independent concept and generation of the electrical integration and functional test procedures at satellite and instrument level in compliance with functional requirements and cost/schedule plans;
  • EGSE deployment and setup on the test facility (Integration & Test, Environmental Campaign, Launch Site);
  • Test preparation of hardware (configuration of item under test), including EGSE SCOE;
  • Autonomous execution of integration activities and of electrical tests on platform and satellite level: interface tests, functional tests, performance tests AOCS, Power, TT&R, On-board Data Handling as well as support for payload testing;
  • Definition of the tests to be performed in the frame of the verification process in agreement with engineering and the AIT/AIV manager;
  • Inclusion of the electrical test activities on the full AIT process in agreement with the AIT manager.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or comparable in Aerospace Engineering or similar;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the AIT area of Space Systems;
  • Good hands-on knowledge of the system engineering process for space projects;
  • Able to use creative thinking applied to engineering and AIT (concepts and solutions) and in approaching problem-solving during the programme development;
  • System-oriented thinking and vision;
  • Available for business trips and night shifts;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment;
  • Committed to objectives, willing to take responsibility through motivation, dedication, initiative, proactivity and autonomy;
