AMETEK in Italy is seeking a Model Shop Technician to build prototypes and test motors, rotors, and stators according to drawings and specifications. You will manage material inventory and prepare shipment packaging for prototypes, while supporting pilot runs and manufacturing checks.

The role requires a technical diploma, 3+ years of hands-on experience with electromechanical products, and the ability to operate winding, welding, balancing, lathes and milling machines.

Formación

• Technical high school diploma in mechanical or industrial engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands-on prototype experience with electromechanical products.
• Ability to operate winding, welding and balancing machines.
• Ability to operate lathes and milling machines for part manufacture/modification.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Effective interaction with cross-functional teams and production facilities.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

Responsabilidades

• Build prototypes and samples of rotors, stators and motors from drawings and specs.
• Perform performance, safety and reliability tests on motors and components.
• Manage inventory of materials for prototypes and samples.
• Prepare and manage special packaging for prototype shipments.
• Support manufacturing in building check samples and pilot runs.
