Position - HSE Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and driven individual who, reporting to the Group HSE Manager and working at operational sites in full cooperation with the Plant Manager, manages all aspects related to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment).

What you will do

1. Serve as HSE specialist and act as RSPP (Head of Prevention and Protection Service) at operational sites, in compliance with Italian law, after an adequate induction;
2. Identify, manage, and control all applicable legal and regulatory requirements according to the Group's directives related to health, safety, and environment;
3. Manage risk analysis and assessments on HSE matters, considering the specific business activities and organization;
4. Draft, define, propose, update, and monitor prevention, protection, and improvement plans based on HSE risk assessments and sustainability projects;
5. Conduct internal inspections and audits in operational areas to ensure management, monitoring, and control of all HSE aspects, collaborating with colleagues;
6. Report to the Group HSE Manager and work with site management to propose, define, and implement prevention and protection measures, improvement initiatives, and action plans to reduce HSE risks and promote sustainable development;
7. Support the Group HSE Manager and management teams in dealings with authorities and regulatory bodies, managing authorization processes and ensuring compliance;
8. Ensure compliance with operational requirements by obtaining, implementing, and maintaining permits and certifications (ISO 45001, ISO 14001);
9. Verify regularly that employees are aware of their HSE and sustainability responsibilities and that they comply with measures;
10. Plan and manage training programs and awareness initiatives on HSE and sustainability topics, including external experts if necessary;
11. Contribute to the implementation of Group standards, management systems, and best practices, proposing new procedures and guidelines;
12. Participate in committees and meetings, promoting initiatives related to HSE, sustainability, and ESG topics;
13. Report on HSE and sustainability performance data for sites and the Group, including ESG reporting.

Who you are

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Environmental or Safety Engineering, or a technical degree with relevant experience;
• Qualifications to assume the role of RSPP according to Italian law;
• Specialized training certificates in occupational health and safety, environment, and sustainability, especially for RSPP roles and certified trainer status;
• HSE experience in industrial operations, preferably in the mechanical sector;
• Experience implementing HSE management systems ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 (a plus);
• Excellent interpersonal skills, cooperative attitude, and teamwork orientation;
• Ability to manage tasks autonomously after initial support;
• Goal-oriented mindset aligned with company objectives;
• Strategic and systemic analytical skills.
