Job Description

EHS Due Diligence - Junior Consultant
Milan

You will join our Environment and Health Department in Milan.

Your new role
As our new HSE Junior Consultant, you will have gained 2-3 years’ experience in Compliance, Transaction, and Corporate Services, with a focus on Health & Safety and Environmental Compliance, or due diligence work in the M&A sector emphasizing sustainability assessment, planning, and strategy.

Your key responsibilities will be:

1. Execution of Environmental and/or Health and Safety Due Diligence
2. Execution of EHS compliance audits
3. Participating directly in assignments, interacting with clients and third parties (e.g., lawyers, advisors, vendors/buyers, regulators), requiring strong soft skills (negotiation, communication, strategic vision) and problem-solving and teamwork capabilities
4. Proposal development and reporting in Italian and English

You will be part of a successful team comprising engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, chemists, biologists, etc., working together across an international network on projects related mainly to contaminated site management, expert services, permitting, due diligence, impact assessment, water treatment, health and safety, climate risk, and sustainability. You will contribute to a sustainable future within an open, collaborative, and empowering culture.

About you

• A Master’s degree in environmental science, earth sciences, environmental engineering, or a related field
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in EHS Due Diligence and investigations related to soil, soil gas, and groundwater
• Knowledge of D. Lgs 152/2006, D. Lgs. 81/2008, and ASTM standards
• Experience in soil, soil gas, and groundwater investigations is a plus
• Knowledge of decommissioning activities and permitting is a plus
• Effective communication skills in written and spoken Italian and English; proficiency in a third language (e.g., German, Spanish, French) is a plus
