As an ambassador of GB Lounge added value services, the holder of the position is responsible for welcoming and engaging travellers, reaching exceptional standards of customer care excellence, and taking care of travellers throughout a unique and exclusive customer experience. He/she provides a consistent and exceptional standard of customer service in keeping with the spirit of quality and excellence of Global Blue. Additionally, he/she will refund (cash & non-cash) Global Blue Tax Free Cheques and assist travellers within the range of customs clearance.

Main duties and responsibilities :
  1. Customer care
    • Provide a consistent and exceptional standard of customer service.
    • Go the “extra mile” to guarantee an excellent customer experience for VIP customers.
    • Provide a warm welcome to guests and lead them to their seats.
    • Provide full assistance: explain procedures, be proactive in answering questions, anticipate needs.
    • Mitigate conflicts with travellers, contributing to the best customer satisfaction.
  2. Background and Education
    • Retail or service industry experience.
    • Fluent in English (written & spoken) and Italian.
    • Fluent in one additional language such as Arabic or Korean (written & spoken).
    • Experience in cash handling and direct customer contacts.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, service orientation, passion, and motivation for engaging Globe Shoppers.
    • Ability to communicate and inspire.
    • Great customer service skills, problem-solving, and business sense.
    • Willing to work on shifts.
  3. Commercial Delivery
    • Deliver quality and consistent service by identifying customer needs and working on client relationships and promotional services.
    • Approach Globe Shoppers to understand their interests and needs, retain customer loyalty by providing appropriate and personalized advice on GB Merchant’s products.
    • Be creative in proposing visits to GB Merchant’s stores.
    • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and being proactive.
    • Achieve business project goals while raising GB awareness.
    • Focus on results to meet Merchant’s expectations and pursue targets.
  4. Refund
    • Refund Global Blue Tax Free Cheques in compliance with country rules and Global Blue guidelines.
    • Perform refunds accurately and efficiently.
    • Handle money responsibly.
    • Support tourists by providing relevant information.
  5. Specific Skills and Competencies
    • Flexible and proactive.
    • Good organizational skills and ability to work independently after given guidelines.
    • Good knowledge of MS Office.
    • Dynamic, creative, and eager to participate in team work.

Position: Entry level, Full-time, based in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. Skills required include foreign languages, organization, and financial services experience.
