Downstream Manager BU Western Europe - Sales Italy B&I

The Downstream Manager BU Western Europe - Sales Italy B&I plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the overall downstream sales function within the organization. Responsible for ensuring the implementation of the commercial strategy within the business unit, maintaining strong customer focus and relationships while adhering to company policies and procedures. By leading a team of Area Managers and field sales, setting and monitoring key performance indicators, this role aims to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks associated with the commercial strategy and goals, thereby contributing to the financial health and operational effectiveness of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Translate BU strategy into local strategy and country commercial plan with targets and actions.
  2. Ensure sales team revenue, GSM, & sustainability targets.
  3. Manage directly sales accounts.
  4. Execute pricing strategy securing channel alignment.
  5. Manage/overview the transition from Upstream to Downstream to ensure the successful closure of projects.
  6. Collect and share requirements/demands as well as upcoming trends for the Downstream target group with global functions as part of the general offering pipeline.
  7. Lead the SAMBA methodology & coach sales team members.
  8. People leadership role for recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing team.
Required Education and Experience:
  1. Knowledge of SAP.
  2. Fluent in Italian & English (spoken and written).
  3. 3-6 years of experience in sales functions in multinational companies or similar experience in related commercial departments.
  4. Physical requirements such as mobility, vision, strength, etc. (applicable in line with local laws).
  5. Commercial and business acumen.
