Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electric Technician located in Venice. The Electric Technician will be responsible for solving electrical problems to ensure uninterrupted operation of the system, performing daily electrical tasks, and maintaining machinery and equipment in the hotel on a full-time basis living in Venice.

Your Responsibilities

• Solve electrical problems to ensure uninterrupted operation of the system;
• Perform daily tasks related to electrical work;
• Maintain laundry, kitchen equipment, HVAC units, motors, pumps, fans, water purification systems, electric generators, lighting, telephones, televisions, fire elevators, security systems, and ensure their proper maintenance;
• Use electrical test equipment to identify faults;
• Perform preventive maintenance according to quality standards;
• Assist in fire protection equipment placement;
• Be aware of hotel emergency/fire alarms;
• Handle processing and storage of electrical equipment responsibly;
• Report supply issues and deficiencies to the manager and resolve them;
• Keep records of equipment use and analyze operational data;
• Inspect equipment, report issues, and resolve problems promptly;
• Use repair tools carefully;
• Propose innovations to improve system productivity;
• Prepare spare parts lists and inform management;
• Follow annual maintenance plans and requirements;
• Carry out repairs and maintenance across the hotel, including new additions;
• Participate in training and apply acquired knowledge;
• Organize maintenance for guests and staff;
• Detect, diagnose, and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical faults;
• Assist hotel staff and guests courteously;
• Maintain and repair guest room and public area equipment;
• Ensure safe storage and use of tools and equipment;
• Complete tasks efficiently according to hotel standards;
• Support departmental colleagues when needed;
• Use ladders and support equipment properly;
• Follow health and safety regulations and emergency procedures;
• Use equipment effectively and safely;
• Participate in safety training;
• Report malfunctions and complete tasks timely;
• Manage time effectively and attend departmental meetings;
• Report lost and found items according to hotel policies;
• Adhere to dress code and departmental policies;
• Use PPE correctly;
• Maintain proper conduct and silence in hotel areas;
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management;
• Install and repair electrical equipment following safety standards;
• Understand labor, safety, and sanitation norms.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience;
• Fluent in Italian and English;
• Graduated from a technical school or vocational training in electrical/electronics/refrigeration/steam generation/heating/air conditioning/plumbing;
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic equipment and control systems;
• Mechanical skills in plumbing, carpentry, and technical equipment;
• Ability to work independently and responsibly;
• Proficiency with relevant technical tools;
• Teamwork skills;
• Willingness to learn and develop;
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
