Director/ Sr Director/ Executive Director- Clinical Development (Dermatology)

Please Note: Incumbent can be based anywhere in Europe or the US.

The Clinical Sciences/Clinical Development Director for dermatology will provide expert clinical leadership from pre-registration to commercialization of innovative dermatology products, aligning with Glenmark’s objectives across various markets. Responsibilities include strategic and tactical clinical oversight, protocol development, trial execution, regulatory interactions for registration trials, and lifecycle management of dermatology products. The role also involves reviewing scientific data, conducting due diligence for in-licensing, and acting as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders throughout product development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Critically evaluate clinical data of investigational and similar drugs to inform development strategies.
  • Collaborate with teams such as Clinical Development, Project Management, Clinical Operations, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Intellectual Property for planning, protocol development, execution, and regulatory interactions.
  • Oversee medical monitoring and supervision of dermatology clinical studies.
  • Develop partnerships with dermatology stakeholders, external experts, and health professionals to promote scientific understanding and advocacy.
  • Support global medical affairs with expertise on licensing and acquisition of new products.
  • Plan and present data at international conferences, symposia, and publish in scientific journals.
  • Ensure compliance with Glenmark standards, SOPs, and external regulations.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) in dermatology with 10-12 years of experience in clinical sciences, regulatory studies, or clinical development in pharma/biotech sectors.
  • Understanding of drug development and regulatory pathways for dermatology in various markets.
  • Ability to interpret complex clinical data and work effectively in cross-functional, matrix organizations.
  • Experience in financial/resource planning and management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of coordinating across geographies and stakeholders.
