ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are searching for an Area Sales Manager to drive sales with customers across the northern Italy area for Greif’s steel and plastic products. You will need to travel (50-60%) but can base yourself from a home office in between travel.

ROLE DETAILS:

Reporting to Greif’s National Sales Manager, we are looking for someone who understands the approach to a B2B sales role and has experience within markets reflective of our customers including chemicals, plastics, steel, polymers, and related industries.

TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Oversees the success of sales for both existing and new customers.
  2. Meets with customers to develop and maintain long-term relationships and promote sales.
  3. Develops and co-develops sales strategies to meet customer needs and prioritize customers to target in order to achieve sales.
  4. Achieves budget and incentive goals.
  5. Builds relationships with local teams to ensure cross-department collaboration.
  6. Uses Greif’s sales tools to track and provide sales information related to budget, sales achievements, and market penetration.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Able to demonstrate significant sales experience within markets relating to chemicals, plastics, steel, polymers or similar.
  2. Able to demonstrate high energy towards new business and developing sales.
  3. An effective communicator who is able to influence others.
  4. Able to demonstrate agility in adapting to business changes.
  5. Must be fluent in Italian and English.
