Join Kota as a Senior Software Engineer - Backend (.NET)

Are you passionate about building robust backend systems that improve customer and operational experiences? This is an opportunity for direct impact in a pioneering startup. Kota seeks a Senior Engineer to support and scale our products, particularly in benefit & financial products and operations. You will be part of the core team for our B2B product, collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to develop impactful solutions.

What You'll Do

1. Drive innovation: Build and enhance products to scale Kota’s operations.
2. Collaborate for impact: Work with teams to refine procedures, ensuring excellent customer experiences and operational efficiency.
3. Own incident management: Respond to technical issues, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.
4. Architect for the future: Research, design, and implement system enhancements.
5. Transform workflows: Develop features that improve internal processes and customer satisfaction.
6. Lead technical efforts: Resolve customer-reported issues as part of the incident response team.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 6+ years in backend systems, expertise in .NET (latest versions 6-9), SQL, ORM frameworks, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Industry knowledge: Fintech, payroll, or benefits experience is a plus.
• Problem-solving mindset: Collaborative, enjoys tackling complex challenges.
• Education: Degree in Computer Science, bootcamp graduate, or self-taught with proven experience.
• Availability: At least 4 hours overlap with GMT working hours.
