Job Description

Are you a jack of all trades? Our Engineering Supervisor role offers an opportunity to lead and train engineering and landscape team members in both technical and non-technical areas. This individual should be comfortable managing various projects from start to finish while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems, including H.V.A.C&R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting, and minor automotive repairs.
• Assume responsibilities of the Director of Engineering in their absence.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel fire, water, sewage, and irrigation systems.
• Respond promptly to all guest requests.
• Handle emergency or life-threatening situations effectively.
• Follow established safety procedures.
• Log and communicate all essential information in engineering logs.
• Be available for emergency on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an Engineer or Maintenance Technician, preferably in a hotel or property management setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling is preferred.
• Ability to operate all hotel systems and related equipment.
• Familiarity with vendors, and ability to identify replacement parts, materials, and tools.
• Decisiveness and proactive action as directed by the Director of Engineering.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions for mechanical assembly and safety warnings.
• Effective communication skills in English with guests, colleagues, and management.
