Accounts Payable Manager

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Manager, who will oversee entire routine department activities, such as disbursing checks and processing invoices, to ensure that they are completed accurately, on time and comply with company policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

As an AP Manager, you will lead the AP processes according to the agreed governance model. You will also be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

• Mentor and evaluate the account payable team to ensure optimal performance and career development. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Lead AP process according to the agreed governance model.
• Ensure appropriate AP processes, controls, policies, and procedures are in place and comply with company standards.
• Manage and monitor the AP process performance according to given rules, timeline, and service level.
• Resolve reconciliation issues and guide team members to resolve complex issues.
• Deal with stakeholders/business partners to ensure smooth operations and alignment with organizational goals.
• Support/drive improvement initiatives as driven by the Global team.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' experience in their post-qualification role with at least 1-2 years of management/team lead position.

Other skills and qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in business studies, management, economics, finance/accounting/banking, or equivalent; relevant professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA).
• MS Office knowledge.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Oracle user knowledge is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills & proficient in English.
• Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Results oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player.
• Able to lead & work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.
