About the position:

This position is located at the La Bella Vista Club.

This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 31st Force Support Squadron at Aviano AB, Italy.

Duties

1. Performs all of the following duties on a recurring basis:
   • Collects sales slips, totals sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records. Keeps work area clean and orderly.
   • Sets up food service counters and steam tables with hot and cold foods and beverages. Prepares coffee and hot water for tea, fills beverage dispensers with juices and soft drinks.
   • Sets tables, seats guests, records guests' selections and turns in orders to the kitchen. Serves food, alcohol, and nonalcoholic beverages. Presents bill and receives payment. Cleans tables and immediate area.
   • Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving. Makes a variety of fruit and vegetable salads. Portions out food, cleans and prepares meats and seafood for cooking. Checks food during cooking to prevent overcooking.
   • Prepares sandwiches and box lunches.
   • Washes dishes, pots, and pans. Empties trash and cleans and sanitizes containers. Unloads trucks and places contents in proper storage and use areas, brings supplies to work areas.
   • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• The position requires the incumbent to be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• This position has a scheduled tour of duty that will require evening, weekend, and holiday work hours.
• This position requires a current record of immunizations.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment physical examination.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be be provided with application by the closing date, 05/30/2025.

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy is US Citizens or NATO country citizens with a valid US permanent resident card and Social Security Number. You must be at Aviano AB on orders and be a US citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a US permanent resident card. Italian citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, they may be eligible for local national positions on base. Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas. Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country.

The 31ST Force Support Squadron is not currently providing logistical support. Applicants must provide proper documentation indicating they are already a supported member of Aviano AB.

Experience Requirements

Must be able to follow simple oral instructions.
Must be skilled in completing tasks with several steps and must use judgment in sequencing tasks.
Must be able to follow cash handling procedures, possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods of time.
