Your Role

The Road Logistics Operator works within the Road Logistics Function. The Road Logistics in Kuehne+Nagel is a fundamental asset and provides Road shipping and Road forwarding solutions to achieve customer performance goals. Partners with clients across various industries (Pharma Healthcare, Perishables, Project Logistics, Automotive, Industrial, and High Tech) and offers a wide range of tailor-made and end-to-end services (e.g., Time-Defined Products, Road-Sea, Road-Air, Cargo Insurance, Customs Clearance, Fairs & Exhibitions), leveraging digital transformation and providing sustainable shipping options for customers to decarbonize their transport. The Road freight capacity is built upon our network with the most effective gateways and strategic carrier relationships. The role is part of the Groupage Department and belongs to the Export and Import Operational Teams. The responsibilities include executing administrative duties and ensuring transport services for customer orders, supporting the management of exceptional and special transport requests, recognizing operational issues impacting service, and supporting the Sales Team with data and insights to foster customer partnerships.

Your Responsibilities

1. Support delivery and collection scheduling by coordinating with carriers, hauliers, subcontractors, and third parties.
2. Assist in customer management, including customs clearance, invoicing, and other administrative tasks.
3. Maintain good relationships with existing and potential customers to ensure retention and growth.
4. Promote company services to customers and pursue new commercial partnerships.

Your Skills and Experiences

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles.
2. Excellent oral communication skills.
3. Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly manner.
4. Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
5. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
6. Service and results-oriented mindset.
7. Fluent in Italian and proficient in English.
8. Bachelor's Degree or higher.
