Role Overview

The Sales Manager will drive global sales growth for GLO Marine’s engineering and vessel upgrade services. The role combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on customer development, account nurturing, and team coordination. The successful candidate will grow the client base, identify new market opportunities, develop key relationships, and enhance GLO Marine’s position as a leading partner in vessel retrofits and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Strategy & Growth Implementation
  • Develop and execute global sales strategies targeting maritime and offshore energy sectors.
  • Set and manage sales targets aligned with company revenue goals.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, managing leads throughout the sales cycle.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless transition from sales to project execution.
  • Account Management & Client Retention
    • Act as the key contact for strategic accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term relationships.
    • Understand client operations and project needs to proactively propose solutions.
    • Track project performance, provide after-sales support, and follow up on vessel lifecycle changes.
    • Maintain structured account reviews and identify expansion opportunities.
    • Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis
    • Research customer profiles and tailor sales approaches accordingly.
    • Monitor market trends, competition, and customer needs to stay ahead.
    • Create market insights reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Performance Management & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and dashboards.

    Candidate Profile
    • Proven experience in sales or account management within maritime, offshore, or marine engineering sectors.
    • Strong knowledge of vessel operations, retrofitting, or lifecycle management is advantageous.
    • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • Willingness to travel internationally.
    • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
    • Relevant qualification in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a marine-driven market with a record of securing complex projects.
    • Strong relationship-building skills and established client networks.
    • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with CRM systems and technical presentations.
    • Commercial awareness and understanding of financial aspects.
