What you will do

We are seeking an Application Security Engineer passionate about securing application development pipelines and web applications. In this role, you will evaluate the security posture of TheFork’s applications and systems.

Main activities

• Scanning TheFork web applications for vulnerabilities and ensuring they are fixed.
• Applying working knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Node / Typescript).
• Utilizing strong IaaS security skills, especially in cloud technologies like AWS.
• Researching new security threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
• Responding to security threats and implementing new requirements.
• Providing technical guidance to developers.
• Maintaining confidentiality during investigations.
• Applying OWASP concepts across solutions.

Who you are

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science).
• Security certifications are a plus (CISSP, GIAC, CEH, Security+).
• At least 4 years of manual security testing experience.
• Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with security technologies in a hybrid cloud environment (AWS).
• Good knowledge of IT operations and service support processes.
