Our HR Managers deliver HR Consulting Services by supporting people leaders aligned with business objectives.

The Role

The HR Manager role supports the ICON business in Italy and other countries within the Med regional area.

The country/sub-region HR Manager works as part of the broader EMEA HR team, supported by the HR Shared Service team and specialist HR areas such as Reward, Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition. The role involves supporting country leadership, site heads, and people managers across various HR activities.

  • Partner with Country Management Teams and Site Heads, providing support and challenge on HR and change management matters.
  • Build relationships with key managers within your country and with offshore managers with people management responsibilities.
  • Provide insights and advice on local labor laws and regulations to Regional HR leadership.
  • Support the implementation of people strategies and HR programs, offering local insights.
  • Deliver complex case management advice on disciplinary, performance, redundancy, and long-term sickness issues requiring country-specific interaction.
  • Implement global HR initiatives and change programs within designated countries, collaborating with Centers of Excellence and global HR Business Partners.
  • Manage employee relations, legal compliance, and HR policies to meet local requirements.
  • Manage labor relations, including Works Councils, employee groups, and trade unions.
  • Identify trends and issues from data sources like exit questionnaires and performance reviews, proposing improvement plans.
  • Contribute to HR work streams related to acquisitions, divestments, and outsourcing, ensuring compliance with local labor laws such as ARD and TUPE.

Experience:

  • 5+ years as an HR Manager, with demonstrated ability to partner with leadership and influence management decisions.
  • Preferably from the services industry.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Expertise in statutory compliance.
  • Experience delivering presentations to business teams.
  • Experience in grievance handling and managing Works Council relationships.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Italian and English, oral and written.

Location: Milan, hybrid work with 40% remote possibility.
