Purpose of the position

We are seeking a Credit & Commercial Operations Specialist to manage credit control, oversee sales agents’ administration, and support business and administrative operations in Italy and Spain. This role ensures process efficiency while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance, support decision-making, and improve operational efficiency.

This full-time, hybrid role is based in Milan. As part of a small, collaborative team, we value cooperation and cross-functional support. Ideal for self-starters with a good understanding of commercial operations, a passion for working with numbers, and proficiency in English and Spanish.

Main responsibilities
Credit Management
  • Manage credit monitoring and payment collections in line with company policies.
  • Perform periodic reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure financial data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with sales to address payment issues and improve collection processes.
  • Handle sales agents' commission calculations and ensure timely processing.
Invoicing/Electronic Invoicing
  • Oversee invoicing processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and correct transmission to the Italian SDI system.
  • Work with customer service to resolve invoice transmission or validation issues.
Other Administrative Support
  • Gather financial data from various departments, providing analysis for strategic decisions.
  • Extract and secure data from tools to support financial analysis and credit management.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Italian, intermediate/advanced English, and Spanish (preferred).
  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in similar roles, particularly in finance operations, credit management, or administration.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAGE preferred) and managing financial data.
  • Proactive, curious self-starter capable of working independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
  • Flexible and adaptable team player.
