Job Description

We are looking for a senior Buyer (direct material) to join our procurement office at our HQ in Piombino Dese, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Familiar with supplier management in direct materials, including scouting and selection of suppliers, with additional knowledge of plastic processes.
• Able to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment, especially during significant company expansion and growth.
• Support and promote optimization and cost-saving initiatives across the current supplier panel and develop comprehensive supply agreements.
• Manage procurement KPIs and tasks such as negotiation, budget savings, adherence to deadlines, payment terms, TCO, make-or-buy decisions, and handling quality claims.
• Collaborate with planners within the department for operational activities like PO issuance and support them in managing delays and complaints when necessary.

Qualifications

• University Master's degree (engineering or scientific background preferred).
• 5-6 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Italian and English.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and support integration with our sister company.
• Strong communication skills to manage relationships with internal peers and promote procedures and best practices.
• Analytical, risk-based thinking, economic understanding, and result-oriented mindset.
• Structured, curious, proactive, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
