A PR & Marketing Executive plays a vital role in supporting the Line Manager to achieve key objectives aligned with the annual marketing and PR plan, current initiatives, and relevant activities. The team is essential in uniting various functions to meet commercial targets. The role involves managing projects related to marketing, media relations, internal communications, and performing administrative duties.
What will I be doing?
As a PR & Marketing Executive, your responsibilities include enhancing brand awareness, communicating promotions, and addressing hotel business needs through the following tasks:
- Coordinate and assist in delivering marketing and PR strategies, monitoring campaign performance, and reporting as directed by the Line Manager.
- Support development and implementation of promotional activities, collateral, in-house merchandising, and maintaining media archives.
- Promote hotel marketing activities to media covering F&B, rooms, and events.
- Assist with internal communications such as updates, press releases, newsletters, speeches, and interviews.
- Support marketing and PR activities like events, sponsorships, campaigns, and property inspections.
- Manage media relations, social media tracking, press kits, news archives, media databases, and interview coordination.
- Organize media familiarization trips and entertain local media where appropriate.
- Lead on-site photoshoots and filming, ensuring administrative approvals.
- Monitor and support social media activities and departmental initiatives.
- Ensure all collateral aligns with brand standards and corporate voice.
- Identify opportunities to grow loyalty marketing activities.
- Implement marketing content effectively online, and respond to customer postings and complaints.
Managing Execution
- Support content management across channels including websites, OTAs, social media, and partnerships.
- Create reports on activities, results, and next steps.
- Maintain and grow hotel databases for targeted campaigns.
- Stay informed about local news affecting hotel reputation and respond swiftly.
- Assist in developing reports on marketing and PR initiatives.
- Review third-party website content for standards and accuracy.
- Conduct competitive analysis to maximize PR efforts.
- Maintain comprehensive marketing archives and content.
- Support management in projects within budget constraints.
- Assist with crisis communication and achieve performance goals.
Developing Talent
- This role emphasizes self-development rather than team development.
Building Relationships
- Establish effective communication with hotel disciplines and external partners.
- Develop relationships with media, community, government, suppliers, and agencies.
