  • Chose the “best” architecture through tradeoff studies between meeting stakeholders’ requirements, cost constraints, timing constraints, risk mitigation, reusability and document the “best” choice justifications.

  • The “best” architecture being defined, cascade system requirements towards system elements through design decisions taken during architecture definition including dynamic behaviour and interfaces definition (with close collaboration with domains experts (Controls, HW, SW, E Machine...)

  • Make sure all aspects impacting architecture are taken into account during and after architecture definition (impact of Functional safety, all output from risk analysis are integrated, and the impact of any change request of the defined architecture shall be clearly identified and assessed.

  • Helicopter view : Oversee and supervise the work of the development team by Working in close collaboration with element owners (designers of HW and SW) to make sure the design meets architecture / system requirements.
