Job Description:

The Technician position involves supporting two research groups at IIT Genoa, focusing on laboratory maintenance, instrument operation, safety, and inventory management. Responsibilities include ensuring laboratory efficiency, supporting instrumentation use, organizing routine activities, managing consumables and stocks, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining safety standards. The role requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and adherence to safety regulations.

Essential Requirements:

• A Master degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies, or Biotechnology
• An experimental Master thesis
• Experience in operational support to a chemical or biomedical laboratory
• Good command of spoken and written English (minimum B2)
• Familiarity with basic IT software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Cooperative approach, accuracy, analytical skills, good communication, and time management skills

Additional Skills:

• Experience with chromatographic techniques such as HPLC
• Experience with spectroscopic analytical techniques
• Experience in research sectors
• Knowledge of safety regulations in the workplace
• Problem-solving attitude, motivation to learn, innovation, teamwork, data analysis software familiarity
