Responsibilities

As an Azure Data Engineer at NTT Data, you will support customers in Big Data projects, collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and objectives. Your role involves delivering data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.

The ideal candidate understands cloud-native environments, thinks innovatively, and can provide simple solutions to daily challenges. You should be able to bridge Data Science and Data Engineering, with a clear grasp of both areas. Whether you're a Data Scientist seeking data preparation experience or a Data Engineer interested in Data Science, a KAIZEN approach to continuously improve your skills is valued. Required Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in a cloud-native environment, preferably on Azure; experience with GCP or AWS is also valuable.
• Knowledge of Big Data architectures, both cloud and on-premise.
• Experience with Azure infrastructure and networking.
• Proven ability to build and deliver proofs-of-concept addressing specific business needs.
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud.
• Monitoring distributed infrastructure using Azure tools or open-source solutions like Grafana and Prometheus.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Kanban.
• Leadership experience with medium-sized teams.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other ETL/ELT tools.
• Certifications: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Desired Skills and Certifications

• Additional Big Data certifications (e.g., Cloudera, Databricks).
• Experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT tools (Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica PowerCenter).
• Data visualization skills with PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, etc.
