Descrizione del lavoro

Adecco Life Science, specialized division of the Adecco Group, research for a client company operating in the design and construction of modules, pressure vessels and heat exchangers for the pharmaceutical sector:

SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

The Senior Process Engineer will lead and/or support the process design for production processes and facility layouts. These may include process for biotech products (Mab, insulin, vaccine, plasma), pharmaceuticals, and other related products. He or she will get support from other engineering resources of the sister companies, with operations in Sweden, China and the US.

Job Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Being a key member of international project teams (composed by multi-nations), and jointly work on/or lead the process design.
  • Developing PFDs, process description, material balance, production capacity calculation & analysis and process P&IDs.
  • Defining the equipment, piping, components’ standards and types and developing their specification.
  • Developing and/or reviewing technical specifications of process & utility equipment and developing data sheets of key equipment and components (independently, or with support).
  • Developing facility layouts (process related), such as floor layouts, equipment layouts, material/personnel/product/waste flow and room classification.
  • Developing and/or reviewing the project URS.
  • Assisting in the process design standardization and contribute to useful guidelines and SOPs.
  • Working as a FEED manager/leader to deliver FEED packages, which may include process design, project schedule, cost, and other specific matters.
  • Contacting with equipment and components suppliers.
  • Providing support to the sales team on preparing technical proposals/solutions, making technical presentations and accompany sales representatives to clients’ meetings.
  • Giving speeches and presentations at summits, seminars and relevant events.
  • Participating in trainings (internal and external) and seminars to continuously learn the latest technologies and advanced processes in order to improve self-competence.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • MSc/BSc or equivalent (Laurea Triennale/Laurea Magistrale) in chemical/biochemical/pharmaceutical/biotech engineering or similar.
  • 10+ years working experience in bio-pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical (Biotech experience is preferred). Preferred experience in process design (bio USP and DSP, single-use technology), pharma production management and validation & GMP regulations.
  • International experience (either academical or international working environments) working for international companies or working with international customers.
  • Language skills: Italian and fluent English are a must. Other European languages (French, German, Spanish…) or Chinese, are a plus.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently keeping a good team and work spirit in the meantime. Hands-on and result-oriented attitudes.
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally.
  • General computer skills (Microsoft Office package) and familiar with engineering software packages such as AutoCAD, COMOS, ASPEN or NavisWorks.
