MISSION

We are looking for a highly analytical and strategic Business Development Manager to join the Business Development function of the newly constituted multi-country, multi-brand & omnichannel coffee player, ECS (part of Lavazza Group). You will oversee the definition and implementation of commercial strategies that expand market reach, secure competitive advantage, and maximize revenue potential. You will lead a team to explore new market segments, define key requirements to support commercial execution, manage partnerships and monitor KPIs and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of commercial strategies and business development initiatives.

  • Lead and manage market research and analysis processes, providing models and methodologies for performing analyses on market conditions and industry trends with the aim to identify commercial growth opportunities;
  • Contribute to the definition of commercial strategies for penetrating new markets, expanding product offerings, and capturing market share, encompassing pricing, distribution channels, promotional campaigns, and sales force optimization;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams for strategy and target alignment and the exploration of new market segments/potential partnerships or acquisitions;
  • Manage activities related to the definition of key requirements and capabilities needed to support the commercial strategy
  • Support senior management in the effective allocation of sales budget across markets and channels to support commercial strategies and business development initiatives;
  • Manage and nurture partnerships and alliances (e.g., retailers, distributors, channel partners), negotiating partnership terms and conditions, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements, and identifying opportunities for mutual growth and success;
  • Monitor KPIs and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of commercial strategies and business development initiatives, identifying areas of improvement and providing reports with recommendations to senior management for decision making.

The position is based between Torino and Milano and frequent international business travel is required.
