Job summary

Compass Lexecon is seeking junior economists for an internship in Milan. You will gain hands-on experience, work closely with senior staff, and support analysis with empirical evidence.

Interns typically join in Milan for 3–6 months around completing their Masters in Economics, with indication of availability in your cover letter. Exceptional Bachelor’s candidates may be considered; applications close Feb 14, 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently undertaking or recently completed Master’s, or Ph.D. in economics.
• Ideal focus on microeconomics, industrial organisation and/or econometrics.
• Highly analytical.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English required.
• Fluency in Italian desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analysing qualitative and quantitative client data to understand competition.
• Reviewing literature and contributing to theoretical and empirical discussions.
• Conducting empirical analysis using Excel and Stata.
• Drafting reports summarising analysis.
• Participating in client meetings and conference calls.
