Field Application Engineer / After-sales Engineer

Role: The Field Application Engineer / After-sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical support with onsite activities and remote assistance to customers or third-party service partners to resolve issues with BESS devices. This involves coordination with the EU team and HQ team to deliver efficient and satisfactory service to our customers in the EU.

Key Responsibilities

1. Management and technical skills in Field Operations: Responsible for the technical supervision and physical work of all field activities, including commissioning, scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
2. Customer Service and Fault Resolution: Focus on resolving after-sales cases by minimizing downtime and optimizing fault resolution times through relationship management and effective communication with customers and relevant teams.
3. Performance Monitoring: Supervise and evaluate product performance by analyzing operational data in collaboration with the monitoring team, HQ, and EU Technical Team.
4. Technical Problem Solving: Identify solutions to technical issues in collaboration with HQ for swift resolution.
5. Additional Activities: Participate as a technician in commissioning, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance. Support help desk with phone assistance and ticket management.

Skill Requirements

1. Electrical certification compliant with local laws.
2. Proficiency with basic electrical tools (multi-meter, torque wrench).
3. Ability to read electrical diagrams and relevant technical documentation.
4. At least 2 years of onsite experience with BESS commissioning, electrical device installation, wiring, and commissioning.
5. Proficiency in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) and ability to produce formal manuals.
6. Driving skills.

HSE and Resource Management

Identify risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with HSE requirements under the guidance of the HSE Manager. Manage spare parts, coordinate with EU/HQ teams on component compatibility, and ensure resource availability for operational continuity.

Cross-Department Collaboration

Coordinate with technical, training, and local service teams to ensure smooth technical interventions and repairs. Liaise with EU/HQ technical teams on technical issues and resource management.
